Forest Grove is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will host the Century Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Forest Grove's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Forest Grove is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: Lakeridge, who was ranked second at the time (Forest Grove was ranked tenth). Neither the Vikings nor the Pacers could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. That draw made it three straight for Forest Grove.

Meanwhile, Century entered their matchup against Nelson last Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Jaguars came up short against Nelson, falling 4-1.

Forest Grove's draw makes their record 4-0-4 this season. As for Century, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
