It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fulton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Mexico Bulldogs 8-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 4, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Fulton's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Mexico, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Fulton and Mexico should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings.
