Volleyball Recap: Grayslake Central Comes Up Short

Grayslake Central lost against Mundelein back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams fell 2-0 to the Mustangs. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Rams haven't been shut out since back in April.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-19.

Ben Boron paced Grayslake Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Boron got some help from Bryce Tupaz and his 14 assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Grayslake Central and nudges their season record down to 26-7. As for Mundelein, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season.

Grayslake Central and Mundelein should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Rams (ranked 44th) will meet Carmel (ranked 153rd) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mundelein will square off against Zion-Benton at 1:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (34 vs. 166).
