Basketball Recap: Garey Takes a Loss

Garey has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 67-44 to the Sierra Vista Dons on Tuesday. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.

Sierra Vista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaron Buna out in front who posted 12 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Buna a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Aguayo, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points.

Garey's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Sierra Vista, their record is now 9-10.

Garey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-34 win against Nogales on the 9th. As for Sierra Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-43 victory against Duarte on the 9th.
