Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was the 51-45 winner over Berean Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trinity Celtics lost 54-30 to the Berean Academy Warriors on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Celtics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Warriors are ranked 94th).

Trinity has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Berean Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity will host Bennington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bennington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season. As for Berean Academy, they will face off against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berean Academy is facing Marion at the right time seeing as Marion is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
