Volleyball Recap: Audubon Falls Despite Big Games from Luzelaina Mejia-Custodio and Lori Seif

Audubon was the 3-0 winner over Milwaukee Arts when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell 3-1 to the Crimson Stars on Wednesday.

Audubon actually scored more points across those four sets (88-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 11-25, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Audubon had strong showings from Lori Seif, who had eight aces and three digs, and Luzelaina Mejia-Custodio, who had five digs and three aces. Seif is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Audubon now has a losing record of 1-2.

Audubon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Milwaukee Arts, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Racine Park at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
