Softball Recap: Spartanburg Takes a Loss

Spartanburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-8 to the Riverside Warriors. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Madi House made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Lister, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Spartanburg now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Riverside, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Spartanburg has already played their next matchup, a 26-8 victory against Eastside on the 4th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against Hillcrest on the 2nd.
