Grayson is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Thompson. The Rams pulled ahead with a 24-23 photo finish over the Warriors. The win was just business as usual for the Rams, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Grayson's defense made their presence known, laying out Trent Seaborn. three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Eli Harris, Thaxton Cunningham, and Cam McGee, who each picked up one sack apiece. Grayson got some further help from Harris: he picked up a sack, made six total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Thompson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dedrick Kimbrough, who picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Thompson also got help from Darion Moseley, who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.

Grayson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Thompson, their record now sits at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayson will welcome Mallard Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Thompson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tuscaloosa County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
