Softball Recap: Fabens Wildcats vs. Mountain View Lobos
Fabens extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-18. They lost 22-6 to the Mountain View Lobos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-12 two weeks ago.
Sabrina Sierra made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Lexis Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
As for Mountain View, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
On Mountain View's side, Jenny Torres was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and one triple while going 5-for-5. Those two home runs gave Torres a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Quevedo, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three doubles.
Fabens has already played their next contest (against Clint), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mountain View also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against San Elizario.
