Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Victorious

On Saturday, the Providence Classical Christian Highlanders earned a 59-50 victory over the Northwest Yeshiva Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.

Despite the defeat, Northwest Yeshiva saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leon Varon dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Varon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Kaufthal, who posted ten points and six assists.

Providence Classical Christian now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Northwest Yeshiva, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

As of now, neither Providence Classical Christian nor Northwest Yeshiva have any future games scheduled.
