The 5-foot-10, 191-pound Marshall has been hampered by injuries this season but has still managed to rush for 757 yards and six scores for Valley Christian (San Jose, Calif.).

He chose Oregon over a host of other offers including Washington, Arizona State and Notre Dame. Marshall's commitment gives Oregon another dynamic running back to work with next season.

Chip Kelly and staff have done an excellent job reeling in home run-threat backs over the past few seasons.

Last year, the Ducks gained a commitment from diminutive speedster De'Anthony Thomas who has contributed as a true freshman this season. In 2010, Lache Seastrunk, an electric back from Texas, committed to Oregon. He has since transferred to Baylor.

Marshall is the younger brother of Arizona State running back Cameron Marshall.
