Basketball Game Preview: Clovis Christian Eagles vs. Santa Fe Prep Blue Griffins

Having just played yesterday, the Clovis Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Santa Fe Prep Blue Griffins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clovis Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Non Varsity Opponent: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Clovis Christian blew Non Varsity Opponent out of the water with a 44-7 final score. The Eagles pushed the score to 33-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Non Varsity Opponent had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Fe Prep). They took down Oak Grove Classical Academy 38-20 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Griffins as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Santa Fe Prep's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Clovis Christian, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-8.
