Cape Henlopen faced Hodgson Vo-Tech in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 34-8 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Cape Henlopen to victory were Jameson Tingle and Ozmeer Batson. Tingle rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs, while Batson rushed for 45 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cape Henlopen was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Cape Henlopen didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Quardell Richards and Jamar Beasley. Another thorn in Hodgson Vo-Tech's side was Javier Morales, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles.

Despite the loss, Hodgson Vo-Tech still got an impressive performance from Keytwan Sabur, who rushed for 117 yards and one score on only 15 carries.

Cape Henlopen's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points over those games. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Cape Henlopen will challenge Appoquinimink at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they will take on St. Georges Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
