Basketball Recap: Cromwell Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Cromwell extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Drew Nyberg. The Cromwell Cardinals blew past the Fond du Lac Ojibwe O Ogichida 77-41 on Monday thanks in part to Nyberg, who went 11 of 15 on his way to 27 points. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Dylan Nyberg, who posted 18 points and six boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points.

Cromwell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Fond du Lac Ojibwe O, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals take on the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fond du Lac Ojibwe O, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Northland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Fond du Lac Ojibwe O likes a good challenge.
