Football Recap: CSTHEA Takes Down Ranked East Central Homeschool

CSTHEA is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of East Central HomeSchool. CSTHEA enjoyed a cozy 40-25 win over East Central HomeSchool. CSTHEA pushed the score to 40-19 by the end of the third, a deficit East Central HomeSchool cut but never quite recovered from.

CSTHEA's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Long, who picked up 96 receiving yards and three scores. That's the most receiving yards Long has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierse Jackson, who rushed for 79 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Another reason for the win was CSTHEA's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Isaac Conkle and Long, who racked up five sacks between them. Jackson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

CSTHEA's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for East Central HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, CSTHEA is taking a road trip to face off against Lancaster Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Central HomeSchool, they will host Evangel Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Lightning have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
