Football Recap: CSTHEA Takes Down Ranked East Central Homeschool

CSTHEA is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of East Central HomeSchool. CSTHEA enjoyed a cozy 40-25 win over East Central HomeSchool. CSTHEA pushed the score to 40-19 by the end of the third, a deficit East Central HomeSchool cut but never quite recovered from.

CSTHEA's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Long, who picked up 96 receiving yards and three touchdowns. An impressive showing, but Long really ramped things up playing D: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles (5.0 for loss). Pierse Jackson was another key player, rushing for 79 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

CSTHEA didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited East Central HomeSchool to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games.
