Dilley scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Falls City Beavers 53-48. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Beavers from their previous meeting back in December of 2016.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Falls City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dale Shaffer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 20 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Shaffer a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kain Jurgajtis, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals.

Dilley is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Dilley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-38 defeat against Kenedy on the 5th. As for Falls City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-35 loss against Karnes City on the 6th.
