Volleyball Recap: Tuscarawas Valley Comes Up Short

Tuscarawas Valley was the 3-0 winner over Conotton Valley when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans fell 3-1 to the Rockets on Wednesday. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rockets 25-18 in the first set.

Tuscarawas Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

Conotton Valley found their leader in sophomore Brooklyn Kelley, who had ten digs and two aces.

Tuscarawas Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Conotton Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tuscarawas Valley will venture away from home to square off against Dover at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Conotton Valley, they will head out to challenge Buckeye Trail at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
