 The Lincoln Lions and the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but sadly the Lincoln Lions had to settle for second. They lost to the Scarlet Knights on the road  by a decisive  62-46 margin. Lincoln was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Exeter-West Greenwich apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  on February 8th.
 When it comes to explaining why Lincoln lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Lauren Cipriano. Despite the final result, she  scored 32 points along with two  steals. That was a full 69.6% of Lincoln's points, marking the 16th time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Tayla Valentin, who  scored eight points along with 17  rebounds.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Exeter-West Greenwich to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Ella Johnson, who  scored 22 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last ten times she's  played.  Niniola Olawuyi was another key contributor,  dropping  a double-double on 13 points and 15  rebounds.
 Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with that  victory, which was their 12th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Exeter-West Greenwich, they will square off against Lincoln School at 2:30  p.m.  on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Rhode Island (Lincoln School is ranked 17th, while Exeter-West Greenwich is ranked eighth).
