Baseball Game Preview: Morton Ranch Mavericks vs. Cinco Ranch Cougars

For the second straight game, Morton Ranch will face off against Cinco Ranch. The Mavericks will challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morton Ranch has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Morton Ranch's last matchup with Cinco Ranch could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Mavericks came up short against the Cougars, falling 14-3. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morton Ranch saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edgar Flores-Guiterrez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory (which was Cinco Ranch's third in a row) raised their record to 13-15-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Morton Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 6-20.
