Softball Recap: Harriman Blue Devils vs. Oakdale Eagles

Harriman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oakdale Eagles. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harriman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenzie Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Harriman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oakdale, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harriman will challenge Midway at 6:35 p.m. on Thursday. Harriman is facing Midway at the right time seeing as Midway is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oakdale, they will square off against Cumberland County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
