University Prep won against Academy for Academic Excellence on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Knights. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Brie (Brieana) Villanueva was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Paityn Zimmerman was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Juliette Torres was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple.

University Prep pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11-1 record this season.

University Prep will head out to face off against Big Bear at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.94 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, they will host Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Academic Excellence is facing Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at the right time seeing as Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
