Softball Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Medina on Monday, Wilson came back down to earth. The Lakemen fell just short of the Barker Bulldogs by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lakemen have suffered since April 7th.

Ava Mielke was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Lucy Madan was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Wilson's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5. As for Barker, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Wilson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 loss against Webber on the 15th. As for Barker, they will welcome Oakfield-Alabama at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
