Baseball Recap: Palisades Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Palisades had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Los Angeles CES Unicorns. The result was nothing new for the Dolphins, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ian Sullivan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Roman Hawk was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jett Teegardin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Palisades kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Palisades pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Los Angeles CES, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palisades will head out to face off against Sylmar at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Los Angeles CES, they will venture away from home to square off against Hamilton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
