Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Camino). Everything went their way against the Oceana Sharks on Wednesday as the El Camino Colts made off with a 9-0 win. It was an even better day for Andrew Tafolla as he scored three goals for his team.

El Camino used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Oceana. Alejandro Topete played for 25 minutes having averaged 11.7 this season and Leo Mejia-Ramos got 20 vs. an average of 2.5. Topete made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory was the third in a row for El Camino, bringing their record for this year to 9-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Oceana, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

El Camino will square off against Westmoor at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oceana, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Terra Nova at 3:00 p.m. on January 29th.
