Soccer Recap: Branchville Find Success

While Branchville's victory against Military Magnet Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Branchville Yellow Jackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Military Magnet Academy Eagles on Tuesday, sneaking past 1-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellow Jackets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2017.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Ashton Preast, who's now up to two this season.

Branchville's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Military Magnet Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Branchville will venture away from home to square off against Baptist Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Baptist Hill is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Branchville a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. As for Military Magnet Academy, they will face off against Palmetto Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Palmetto Scholars Academy's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
