Volleyball Recap: Layton Comes Up Short

Layton and Herriman squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Layton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Luke Jensen paced Layton's offense, picking up seven kills. Jensen got some help from Cody Lambert and his 18 assists.

Layton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Herriman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Layton has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Copper Hills on the 6th. As for Herriman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Mountain Ridge on the 6th.
