Basketball Game Preview: Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights vs. George Walton Academy Bulldogs

For the first time this season, Bethlehem Christian Academy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the George Walton Academy Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bethlehem Christian Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Hebron Christian on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights lost 67-46 to the Lions. The Knights have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, George Walton Academy is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Tattnall Square Academy on Tuesday, but Tattnall Square Academy came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 55-52. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Bethlehem Christian Academy better keep an eye on Tiedrell Ansley. He was instrumental in George Walton Academy's win, going 11-for-23 to rack up 29 points and seven boards. Those 29 points gave Ansley a new career-high. Jackson Wells was another key player, shooting 64% from the field en route to 16 points and six rebounds.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for George Walton Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
