Volleyball Game Preview: Cartersville Hurricanes vs. Blessed Trinity Titans

The Cartersville Hurricanes will challenge the Blessed Trinity Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cartersville comes in on 15 and Blessed Trinity on five.

Cartersville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Wayne County as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Cartersville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckenzie Wilkie, who had seven aces and three digs. That's the most aces Wilkie has posted since back in August of 2024. Sydney Seigler was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Cartersville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Blessed Trinity made easy work of St. Pius X Catholic on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Blessed Trinity was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-19, 25-18.

Blessed Trinity's win bumped their record up to 35-10. As for Cartersville, their victory bumped their record up to 43-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Cartersville has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.3 aces per game.
