Softball Recap: Bangor Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Bangor dropped their record down to 13-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Decatur Raiders, falling 13-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Vikings, who until this matchup were averaging 2.69 runs allowed.

Bangor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Wisniewski, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Decatur, they now have a winning record of 9-8. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won eight contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

On Decatur's side, they got a massive performance out of Sienna Potter, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Emmilynne LaPorte was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Coming up, Bangor is taking a road trip to square off against Eau Claire at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Decatur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marcellus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.2 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
