The Warrensville Heights Tigers won against the Fairmont Firebirds last Saturday with 61 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Sunday. Warrensville Heights came out on top against Fairmont by a score of 61-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Warrensville Heights.

Warrensville Heights was led to victory by Chelsea Johnson and Leilani Mcneill. Johnson scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, while Mcneill scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcneill has scored all season. Demarionna Branch was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Despite the loss, Fairmont saw an underclassman step up: Kaylah Thornton scored 23 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Thornton hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Roark, who scored nine points along with three blocks.

Warrensville Heights is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Fairmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-4.

Warrensville Heights will be playing in front of their home fans against Shaker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shaker Heights is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Fairmont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Brush at 4:30 p.m. on January 15th. Brush presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fairmont in Ohio (Brush is ranked 28th, while Fairmont is ranked 94th).
