Holcomb and Beloit squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Holcomb had to settle for second. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beloit Trojans. The Longhorns' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Eli Johnson was his usual excellent self, going 16-for-20 on his way to 35 points for Beloit. Johnson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brody Litton, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Holcomb's loss dropped their record down to 16-5-1. As for Beloit, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

As of now, neither Holcomb nor Beloit have any future games scheduled.
