Softball Recap: Seymour Drops Highest Score of Season Against Bushnell-Prairie City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seymour). Everything went their way against the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans on Saturday as they made off with an 18-6 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Seymour and bumps their season record up to 6-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Seymour didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-2 loss against Delavan on the 12th. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they will challenge Macomb at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans are facing the Bombers at the right time seeing as the Bombers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
