Spring Mountain extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-6. They lost 22-7 to the Beatty Hornets. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Beatty, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The result was nothing new for Beatty, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For Beatty's part, Yudiel Gutierrez was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Gutierrez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Molina, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Beatty beat Spring Mountain by a score of 20-2 later that day.
