Football Game Preview: Archbishop Carroll Lions vs. Riverdale Baptist Crusaders

The Archbishop Carroll Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop Carroll has given up an average of 28.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Archbishop Carroll is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Bishop McNamara, who was ranked 11th in their home state at the time (Archbishop Carroll was ranked fifth). The Lions lost to the Mustangs on the road by a 35-18 margin on Saturday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Archbishop Carroll got top-tier performance from Tk Davis, who rushed for 131 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Davis' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Meanwhile, Riverdale Baptist played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by DeMatha 43-6. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Archbishop Carroll now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Riverdale Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
