Basketball Recap: Woodland Regional Comes Up Short

Woodland Regional lost against Torrington back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Woodland Regional Hawks came up short against the Torrington Raiders, falling 77-53.

Torrington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris De La Cruz, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. De La Cruz's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Adi Puskarevic, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Woodland Regional's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Torrington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.

As of now, neither Woodland Regional nor Torrington have any future games scheduled.
