Hammond Bishop Noll is 2-8 against Griffith since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Warriors will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Hammond Bishop Noll is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Hammond Bishop Noll's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when Highland hitters got past them. The Warriors came up short against the Trojans on Saturday, falling 12-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hammond Bishop Noll saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Sims, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Griffith had just enough and edged out Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran 7-6 on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.
Elena Rivas was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Morgan Von Ogden, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Griffith and bumps their season record up to 9-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Hammond Bishop Noll hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Griffith struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Hammond Bishop Noll took their victory against Griffith in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
