Softball Recap: Calamus-Wheatland Sets Scoring Season-High Against Clinton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Calamus-Wheatland). Everything went their way against the Clinton River Kings on Saturday as they made off with a 15-7 win. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on four straight.

Calamus-Wheatland pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Coincidentally, Calamus-Wheatland and Clinton will both be playing Central DeWitt the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host Central DeWitt on Saturday, while the River Kings will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
