Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Wolfpack vs. Locust Grove Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Woodland Wolfpack will head out on the road to face off against the Locust Grove Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Woodland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 76-72 to Stockbridge.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Hampton on Wednesday, taking the game 51-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Locust Grove is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Woodland, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Woodland came up short against Locust Grove in their previous meeting on January 7th, falling 48-38. Can Woodland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
