Football Recap: Mt. Pleasant's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Zion Christian Academy last Thursday, Mt. Pleasant came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Forrest Rockets by a score of 24-21 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Tigers' undefeated start to the season.

Kale Scott threw for 134 yards and one TD on only 11 passes. Jaylen Easterling was his top target, picking up 108 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Kayden McCrory rushed for 40 yards and one score.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mt. Pleasant fell to 2-1. As for Forrest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will head out on the road to take on Summertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Forrest, they will welcome East Hickman County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
