Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Stryker

Stryker hadn't done well against Pettisville recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Blackbirds. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Blackbirds on September 4th, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

The win didn't come easy: Pettisville scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19.

Aubrey Clemens paced Stryker's offense, picking up 23 kills. Clemens got some help from Reiss Creighton and her 26 assists. Allie Ruffer and Kenzie Clemens kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Stryker pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Pettisville, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Stryker is set to challenge their familiar foe North Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pettisville will take on rival Hilltop at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
