League recap: Bishop Diego scores huge upset over Nordhoff

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Nordhoff, who took down 105th ranked Nordhoff, 14-7. Anthony Carter threw for 57 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 38 yards in the win.

Bishop Diego moved up to 116 from 160 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Tri-Valley. The Cardinals climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Rangers 14-7.

Jonathan Esqueda was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 167 yards on 23 carries as Carpinteria fell to Bishop Diego. Teammate Ian Craddock added to the ground attack by rushing for 68 yards.

Anthony Graham made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors bested Santa Paula. The 5-foot-9 senior pulled down one interception.

Woodcock was the best wideout in the league this week as Tony Henney's team fell to Tom Crawford's team. Woodcock racked up two receptions for 62 yards. Brad Sloan helped Nordhoff's passing attack out by catching four balls for 52 yards.

Tanner Workman provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Rangers lost to the Cardinals. He completed 14 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 15 yards.

Nordhoff's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rangers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Workman has thrown for 1715 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Eric Lara has 33 catches for 601 yards. Tayler Livingston leads the league in rushing with 839 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Oak Park takes on Carpinteria. The Eagles are currently in fourth, while Ben Hallock's team is in third.

Bishop Diego extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Nordhoff, 14-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Cardinals.
