Quakertown beats Upper Dublin for their fourth straight win

Recap: Quakertown Panthers vs. Upper Dublin Cardinals

The Quakertown Panthers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They secured a 21-17 W over Upper Dublin. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Quakertown was the (much) better team in the second half.

Quakertown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vince Micucci, who rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown. Aiden Burgy did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Upper Dublin's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shyne Roberts, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown. Chris Kohlbrenner was another key contributor, gaining 154 total yards.

Quakertown's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Council Rock North and 2-8 Bensalem (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.3% over those games). As for Upper Dublin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Quakertown will head out on the road to face off against Perkiomen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perkiomen Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. Upper Dublin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
