Softball Recap: Bandera Takes a Loss

Bandera was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 15-3 to Canyon Lake. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the BULLDOGS of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Cerissa Fernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Preslee Jade, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Bandera's record now sits at 3-16. As for Canyon Lake, they moved to 6-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bandera will face off against rival Fredericksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Canyon Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Wimberley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
