Football Recap: Jordan Mesa and Ty'aun Edmondson Secure Win for Ridgeview + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridgeview). They put the hurt on the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds with a sharp 31-8 win on Friday. The Panthers pushed the score to 31-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Greyhounds cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Ridgeview to victory were Ty'Aun Edmondson and Jordan Mesa. Edmondson gained 152 total yards and two touchdowns, while Mesa threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Those two passing touchdowns gave Mesa a new career-high.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ridgeview's defense and their three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Edren Rhodes. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Ridgeview's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for KIPP Bold City, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Ridgeview has already played their next contest, a 44-0 defeat against Columbia on the 10th. As for KIPP Bold City, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence School at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th.
