Basketball Game Preview: Pretty Prairie Bulldogs vs. Oxford Wildcats

The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs will head out to take on the Oxford Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pretty Prairie is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Stafford with a 66-60 win on Friday.

Pretty Prairie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evan W Young led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance also gave W Young a new career-high in blocks (eight). Another player making a difference was Eli Young, who went 7 of 10 en route to 19 points.

Pretty Prairie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Oxford earned a 74-63 victory over Udall on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Pretty Prairie's record is now 3-1. As for Oxford, their record is now an identical 3-1.

Pretty Prairie took a serious blow against Oxford in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 81-47. Can Pretty Prairie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
