Basketball Recap: Central Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Central Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Sterling Black Bears, falling 74-33. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Black Bears are ranked 31st).

Central Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Sterling, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Christian Academy will face off against Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sterling, they will challenge Ell-Saline on Friday.
