South Elgin won the last time they faced Streamwood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Storm blew past the Sabres 19-1. Considering the Storm have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kaidence Runachik made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning two RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, South Elgin got a massive performance out of Liv Miller, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Miller a new career-high. Emma Bell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
South Elgin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Streamwood only posted an OBP of .143.

The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. Looking ahead, South Elgin will host West Chicago at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
