Basketball Recap: Oak Hall Comes Up Short

Oak Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 70-49 to the St. Joseph Academy Flashes. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while the Flashes are ranked 266th).

Josh Wolff was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 30 points in addition to six boards and five steals for St. Joseph Academy. Wolff has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Shaw, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Oak Hall's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Joseph Academy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Oak Hall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-32 defeat against Bishop Snyder on the 10th. As for St. Joseph Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-40 victory against Menendez on the 10th.
