Volleyball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-11, 25-15.

Aubrey Horne was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs. Taylah Brown also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Forest Hills, their victory ended an 11-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-13.

Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills, they will welcome Albemarle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
