Soccer Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Streator/Woodland last Wednesday, Washington came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Dunlap Eagles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for Washington in their meetings with Dunlap: they've now lost four in a row.

Washington's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-5-1. As for Dunlap, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-3 record this season.

Washington will be taking part in a tournament against De La Salle at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dunlap, they will take on St. Teresa's Academy in a tournament on Friday.
